Once we receive your work, it is usually sent to the U.S. Copyright Office within 2 business days (or you may upgrade to same day service). Your work is considered officially copyrighted once the US copyright office receives it with the required documentation.
We provide you a mail delivery confirmation number so you know the day your work was received by the U.S. Copyright Office and is officially copyrighted!
However, due to the backlog at the U.S. Copyright Office, it can take 5 to 8 months to receive your official copyright certificate. This is the same for anyone who copyrights work. The certificate will be sent directly to you from the US Copyright Office.
